We're moving to Herzelia

I started packing already, and it seems like I have so many things hiding inside my cabinets. Things I never knew of their existence. But I packed them anyway. When we'll be in Herzelia, I'll find someone who'll find it useful and treat it right.
Herzelia is just too far for me. I still don’t know how am I going to get there every morning, but I'm quite sure I'll be spending some time at traffic jams.
I'll be riding my bike less and less now, probably during weekends only. Such a shame…

I was visiting the new building this morning, for a guided tour, so on Sunday, our first day in Herzelia, us, the HR people will have the answers to everything, and where's what.
It's weird, because I'm a bit excited, probably because everything is new and very pretty, but then I think about the time I'll be spending on my way to and from work. It might take over an hour to get there or making my way back home.
I know, I'm a bit spoiled, but what can I do?... I'm living in Tel Aviv, I'm allowed to be spoiled. That's why I live in Tel Aviv, to be close to everything that's important. And then the company I work for is changing its location outside of Tel Aviv! Not a smart move…

But now is the time to go home, so Cya!

Salad is not food enough

Why is it that every time I go to a restaurant and ask about a vegetarian dish, they say proudly: "we have salads!" ??
The fact that I've decided to not eat "food" that was once alive does not mean I will eat like a rabbit and only have green leaves.
Yes, it means I don’t eat chicken, or even schnitzel (some people don’t find it fleshy enough), I don’t eat fish, even though it's very very healthy, and I don’t eat any animal that produced or sucked milk. I think that covers it all.
Another important rule of mine is that I don’t eat anything that originated from water e.g. ocean, sea, lake, river or even a puddle if possible. There are no exceptions, except rice.
If you were wondering, sushi is also out of the question, even though they are filled with vegetables.
Yes, I eat dairy and I eat eggs. Chicken eggs that is.
So I say NO to salad.

When the waiter adds: "we have a vegetarian pasta!" with the same enthusiasm and proud tone as mentioned above, I think to myself (sometimes out loud): if I wanted to have a good pasta, I'd have gone to an Italian restaurant. Besides, usually my own pasta is much better than the none-Italian-restaurants pasta...
So only sometimes I say no to pasta.

So what bothers me the most? The fact that most waiters and chefs think I should eat vegetables. Can't they be more creative? Are they afraid of the challenge of feeding vegetarians? They are mislead if thinking they can feed carnivores with a big piece of meat and some mashed potatoes, and they’ve satisfied everyones needs.

Us, the vegetarians, are human-beings, and we also have needs, a bit different than others, but still, we don’t ask for a lot…

Just another boring friday...

This blog idea came up one Friday night, while my Dan is in Dublin and Or's Kfir is in Hong Kong. We were discussing over the phone (free call from our work's mobile) about our day, and Or thought I had a wonderful and interesting day, unlike her. Well, it's hard to disagree, after all I went to the supermarket to buy some things to fill my fridge after visiting Dan in Dublin. I also bought some things I should have bought months ago- a small bulb for my reading lamp and a multi-plug electricity sockets (is that the name for that thing??...).
At home I made some avocado salad and sauteed mushrooms. Don’t even try to understand that mixture… I add mushrooms to everything I eat or cook, as long as I have some in my fridge!
The highlight (I'm still talking about my Friday) was the white chocolate with raspberry pieces that I bought in Dublin, and eating it as a desert! Or is definitely the only one who understands me and my crave for berries!

I'm trying to remember what was it that we were talking about that made me decide to have my own blog, but I do remember that I offered her a link to her travelsadvice.com.
Anyway, I don’t want my posts to be that long, otherwise you'll get tired and bored of it pretty fast. But in the other hand, I don’t really know who's going to get in and read it… so maybe I can continue writing and writing everything I have on my mind? And I have a lot!
Well, maybe, but not this time!

Cheers!
